ron350 Posted August 19, 2012 Report Posted August 19, 2012 Which front strut cartridges mounts for my 96 Regal? It is time to replace the front strut cartridges and mounts on my 96 Regal. I want a soft smooth ride so was planning to use Monroe Sena-Trac strut cartridges but I have not read much about which upper mounts to use. Has any one had a problem with the Monroe brand Strut mount or should I use AC Delco brand mounts or something else? Quote
Galaxie500XL Posted August 20, 2012 Report Posted August 20, 2012 Well, my last experience with Sensa-Tracks was very poor...one failed within 30 days, and within a year, both were toast. Quote
WhatTheFehl Posted August 20, 2012 Report Posted August 20, 2012 KYB GR2/Excel-G is the way to go. Quote

94 olds vert Posted August 20, 2012 Report Posted August 20, 2012 The Gr2s are a good way to go. Quote
WhatTheFehl Posted August 20, 2012 Report Posted August 20, 2012 KYB is most like stock shocks, no? And certainly a good quality. Quote
94 olds vert Posted August 20, 2012 Report Posted August 20, 2012 I have them in my cutty. I like them, personally I think they are better than stock. Quote
RobertISaar Posted August 20, 2012 Report Posted August 20, 2012 KYB is most like stock shocks, no? And certainly a good quality. i was under the impression that they were slightly less forgiving than FE3, but again, area i know little about. Quote
The Guz Posted August 20, 2012 Report Posted August 20, 2012 On my parents 96 regal I went with KYB GR2's all around with monroe mounts. So far so good and the ride is great. Quote
carkhz316 Posted August 21, 2012 Report Posted August 21, 2012 I've done new GR2s/ Excells all around, on my last two trucks, my '92 Z, and my mom's Trailblazer. All have been terrific ride quality that surpasses stock by a "notch" or so. Quote
