Convertible Pass Through Repair

Has anyone had success in fixing the pass through door that breaks on verts and rear bucket seats? I'm starting to look at repairing mine and trying some new things.

Yup, I fixed mine about a year ago and have had no issues yet. What I did was removed it from the car. To do so remove the rear seats. Then that pannel should slide out when you lift it straight up.

 

I drilled out the old plastic rods that the pass thru door used to pivot on. Went to the hardware store found me some small metal rods that had cotter pins in them. Just slid them into the hole and put the cotter pin in.

My pass through is out, i'm process of fixing/welding all the cracks.

 

Do you have any pics. I'm assuming you had one metal rod per side or did you find one long rod that had two cotter pins?
