Justin Webb
I have a 94 grand prix se and i can not get it to start.at first it would just click a few times but now it does nothing.when i turn the key i hear a eird sound coming from around the glove box.could it be the Anti-Theft Relay?Or could it be a starter relay. If it is a starter relay where in the heck is it at? Thank you

Justin Webb
No battery is fully charged.Just the buzzing sound when i turn the key..all the lights work, but when i turn the key to try and start the car the lights do not dim at all...Should'nt then dim a bit when trying to start it? rockfangd
not necessarily. Get an actual voltage reading somewhere to verify you have good connection at the battery. I usually check at the alternator and engine for good 12v. Side terminal can be hard to tell when you have a bad connection
Justin Webb
I can get the car to start if i jump the solenoid.starts right up.for some reason it is not getting any power from the start to the ignition switch...thats why i think it might be a bad relay.but i cant find the relay to the starter. Justin Webb
Ok found the problem.it's a short in the steering column somewhere. If i wiggle the steering wheel back and forth it starts right up.
mhildebrand
It could also be the ignition switch itself. I replaced one in a Cavalier last week, and it did the same thing.
