GP1138
Doing an inspection on a squeaky serpentine belt the other day, and I noticed this: The other side is decidedly NOT misaligned as this seems to be. I remember this being a little less cocked to the upper right. What exactly might have happened here and how difficult is it to do a front strut job on this car? AL
If all the bolt holes line up, I wouldnt worry about it
Crazy K
you might investigate the cost of new "loaded" front struts, I get the vague impression that top mount is wearing out due to rust through, and a loaded unit will have a fresh mount. OR just the cost of the top plate, only...
runt
You can buy new Quick Struts for those cars for about $135/ea. I believe that the quick strut is the same as Ken saying "loaded".
Schurkey
And don't forget to put a proper end on that wire, and clean the metal it's grounded to.
Andrew
struts on these cars are super easy. those 3 nuts on top and 2 bolts at the bottom, and its out. if its not making noise, i wouldnt worry.
Crazy K
quick thought: with teh car in park and the hood open, rock the car and make sure that it isn't shifting. if it isn't, It's probably fine.
