92 GP SE vs 99 GTP

The alternator in my 92 GP is working fine, but my a/c really needs recharged, I have windows being goofy and a starting issue I have yet to resolve.

The alternator just failed in the GTP, and right now the AC works better, windows, and the car is more comfortable to drive and I am BROKE.

I can't believe I am thinking this but...

Can I pull the alternator off my 92 GP SE and put in on the 99 GTP? Are they swappable? I would tend to think they aren't but I have people saying they are, so just wanted the general consensus from you guys

The '92 uses a CS-130, whereas the '99 uses a newer CS-130D, I believe.

I don't know if the 3.4L got the "D" out of the gate though. Go on Autozone and look at part numbers for each. If nothing else I'd suspect the clocking might be incorrect.

Thanks! I had compared the part numbers on RockAuto and saw that they had differed so I assumed that the alternators were different, I just wanted to be certain. I wouldn't think of harvesting parts off Precious if I didn't know that driving the GTP (yet unnamed) was more comfortable and efficient, better gas mileage. LOL. I guess I'll just have to shell out the money to buy a new alternator for the GTP.
