oldsfever
I picked up this key fob at a junk sale the other day. It looks okay and the batteries are good but it does not work on my 94 Vert. It does not have a part number but on the back it has the following: Model/FCC ID: ABDO302T DOC 218 k800 If anyone wants it, shoot me your address and I'll drop it in the mail. oldsfever
Thanks. That clears it up. I only paid a couple of bucks for it so if anyone can use it, let me know.
Mel87
Aren't these VIN specific? I don't think you can go around pointing this at any listed cars above and unlock them.
ManicMechanic
No, they are not VIN specific. They have to be programmed to the car that they are going to. Just like W bodies.
Addicted2bass
I really think that remote should work on your car. Unless they changed something internal with the remote but not what it looks like. I found these programming instructions for your car: http://programyourremote.com/classified/DisplayAd.asp?id=1529
oldsfever
I tried programming and it didn't work. I replaced the batteries with the same result. According to ManiacMechanic it will work up to a 92 Cutlass Supreme. I didn't really need it but couldn't pass it up for a couple bucks. Hopefully someone can use it sometime. ManicMechanic
I think my info may have been wrong on a CS...My 1992 used the same remote as my 1994s and my S10. It's the FCC ID of the receiver box that decides if the remote will work or not.
