93 3.1 vs 94 3.1 - Dual Exhaust Swap ?

I have done a lot of searching here and couldnt be sure if this will work .......

I have a 94 Cutlass Supreme Convertible. My son wants to put dual exhaust on it , he will be driving it next year.

The Walker Catalog shows that a 93 3.1 had a dual exhaust option. It looks like 94 did not.

Will the system from the 93 pictured below fit in a 94? Best i cant tell it will fit but was hoping to confirm before we spend any money. It also appears i need to also use the cat from the 93 system.

Anyone have a used system for sale? I dont need mufflers as it seems like Flow Master 40 is the way to go.

Thanks,

Pete

94+ def came with dual exhaust, you'd prob have to look it up as 3.4L. the diameter is a little larger, but it will still work. also, you would need a bumper cover with the cutouts for both sides, or cut it yourself

Ok, i did some more catalog checking. Instead of using the Walker catalog i used the AP catalog. It shows a dual system for 94 per the below. For some reason Walker doesnt show it in their catalog.

AP Single for 3.1

a 94 GP 3100 duel setup would work. Only 3.4 Olds got the duel setup in 94

The above catalog shots from AP was for 1994. AP shows it for 94 and Walker does not ....

Because 1993 was the last yr you could get a dual exhaust with a 3.1. In 1994, you had to have a 3.4DOHC to get the dual exhaust. Every 3.1 had single exhaust.

You only need to replace the exhaust from the y pipe back (35229 in the above pic) You dont need the full exhaust system, just the drivers side exhaust hanger
