oldsrotro80
Has anyone used colored caliper covers on a Cutlass...or any w-body vehicle? Everywhere I search nothing comes up when looking for a '97 Cutlass Supreme. The Olds is red, & about six years ago I coated my calipers with red DuPont heat resistant paint. Looked very sharp for years until the calipers started going through some wear & tear with brake pad changes; eventually replacing one caliper years later (which never got painted). The more convenient route would be caliper covers so I don't have to keep up on the painting. Has anyone done this? If so, where did you find them? I have also thought about using the colored Kleen dust wheel shields if I am unable to find caliper covers...installing red ones behind some aftermarket chrome 18" wheels. If you have achieved either look please post some pics! This is the look I'm shooting for: Thanks!
Garrett Powered
I have a set of kleen wheels I could probably part with. I had them on my cross lace 8x16's before I got new wheels. they sometimes don't come back out of the wheel too easy though.
rich17
Please do not use these. Just clean and repaint your calipers
ChibiBlackSheep
Use a G2 paint kit on your calipers. If they ever chip or peel or come off just take a picture and send an email to G2 with your proof of purchase and they'll just mail you a brand new kit Adding additional parts like that, just adds something that could come off, or hold in heat and we all know w-bodies need no help in the heat department on brakes. I know that the TGP that went from GOD910->psychomatt->Jonpro->Bxx->chinese pop cans had dust sheilds that were very good at keeping brake dust off the rims during Psychomatt's tenure, but I never found out what happened to them, but i want a set............ as for the topic, I am going to try G2 epoxy stuff myself! e-bay has it cheap, and I bought the "engine" kit so i could stretch it as far as possible.
