Mach 5 Posted May 28, 2012 Report Posted May 28, 2012 ok so I just downloaded the newest version of Tunerpro and ran the program setup. Now I went to use the program and get this. It wont allow me to use the program. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks -Jarek Quote
RobertISaar Posted May 28, 2012 Report Posted May 28, 2012 what version of windows are you running? TP V5 is only supported in win XP SP3 and later. Quote
Jssuper Posted May 28, 2012 Report Posted May 28, 2012 Probably has a newer Windows 64bit system and it won't install correctly as its for a 32bit OS? I have a similar problem with some of the tuning software I use. That is why I keep a good Windows XP SP3 box around. Quote
Quaraxkad Posted May 28, 2012 Report Posted May 28, 2012 (edited) I am running TunerPro right now on XP x64 SP2 (SP3 does not exist for x64 at all) and I have it running on my laptop with XP x86 SP2. The specs do say that it requires SP3, but there must be just one updated component that it requires, which must have been installed separately by some other program I'm using. I'll take a wild guess and say that's Kernel32.dll... If you don't want SP3 (which I don't) you can try updating just that file manually. 5.00.7532: 5.00.7774: Edited May 28, 2012 by Quaraxkad Quote

skitchin Posted May 28, 2012 Report Posted May 28, 2012 Safest thing to do would be to copy kernel32.dll from an XP SP3 computer, and then copy it into the TunerPro folder. TunerPro will load the DLL directly from here, so then nothing breaks if this doesn't work. Or, you could just update to SP3: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=24 Whatever you do, don't drop a mismatched kernel32.dll file in your system32 folder. Quote
Mach 5 Posted May 30, 2012 Author Report Posted May 30, 2012 omg wow I have no clue what any of this means!! totally computer illiterate. I uploaded TunerproRT Version 4 again since that works and now it wont let me create a log so I can record.. Ill see if I can get a picture Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted May 30, 2012 Report Posted May 30, 2012 You dont really create a log... Your log is what you recorded. As long as you have the right definition files, you should be able to connect to the computer, if you can do that you should be able to record. Quote
RobertISaar Posted May 30, 2012 Report Posted May 30, 2012 with TP V4, you must select/create the ADL file first before you can record. Quote
