djsmallz18 Posted April 24, 2012 Report Posted April 24, 2012 Just picked up my 3rd TGP for $3k. It's a red 90 with a solid body and 118k. It had been sitting for a while and shortly after I bought it one of the left rear brake line blew. The brakes still work, but are really hard. I've had a couple people look at it and they all say it needs a new master cylinder. I've been told that IF I can find one, it could run me upwards of $3k! I'd prefer not to spend as much on the master cylinder as I did on the car itself! If anyone has any experience with this, please help! Thanks! Matt Quote
White93z34 Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 You'll likely get more attention here then in the TGP section. Does the pump run at all? are the BRAKE and ANTI-LOCK lights on? Quote
djsmallz18 Posted May 1, 2012 Author Report Posted May 1, 2012 Lights are both on. My shop is currently attempting to replace the PM III with the 90 Grand Prix non-ABS system. I'll update as I get progress info. Hopeful we can figure something out! I'd rather have non-ABS then deal with this biatch EVER again! Quote
White93z34 Posted May 1, 2012 Report Posted May 1, 2012 I hear you there. However it is HUGE work to go non ABS. entire dash has to come out, HVAC system has to come out. to replace the firewall plate so you can put a standard brake booster on it. If you want to troubleshoot it further post up with any symptoms. Quote
