1995 cutlass supreme exhaust upgrades

i have a 95 cutlass supreme convertible it has a 3.4 v-6 looks lik a y pipe in the front 1 cat some sort of resonator before the y pipe in the back then 2 mufflers i love the sound of a v-8 with straight pipes but i have been pondering changing the exhaust on this convertible and have been listening to different peoples cars with v-6 and different exhausts i have not yet found one thing i have liked any suggestions from anyone i like a deep loud tone seems anything i have heard was raspy and pops please any suggestions please let me know

Jake91 had a really nice exhaust on his car. I copied the mufflers he choose when I did my exhaust. I bought Magnaflow mufflers. Forgot the exact model.

Magnaflow is the way to go for this motor. I don't have a sound bite of mine, but it was a custom job done at an exhaust shop, 2.5 high flow cat into a magnaflow round muffler, y pipe dropped to 2.25 IIRC into dual magnaflow mufflers exit a 3" tip. At cruising speeds the car was fairly quiet, nice hum at idle, and it really opened up at WOT

The Y pipe is 2.25 on these. I changed mine to 2.5 from the Y to the muffler.

You are correct, I think I left mine at 2.25, i'd have to check at this point.

lol wow my old car is of subject here lmao. yeah i loved that sound, and adam i agree a better resonator or glasspack would have made it perfect
