I had had the power steering pump and rack replaced, and a week later the waterpump went. So I replaced it. And the new one went in ... 5 MINUTES!!! WTF?!?! I replaced it, and the new (THIRD!) one started making noise. The only problem I could find was the belt seemed WAY too tight, so I loosened the tensioner a smidge and now, except for the belt noise when I start it, it's working. Could it be the power steering pump?? The Tensioner?? The nut that keeps screwing up his own car??? I'm more used to older engines, so I might be a little too hard on a newer car (Real men don't need torque wrenches! That feels like 40 lbs!) but unless theres another problem lurking somewhere, I don't see why this is happening. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
