ricklovin93
Does anybody else have this problem. It seems like the horn is louder inside the car than it is outside, is it time for a new horn? bad connections? where is the horn?
redmetrix
There should be two horns in the driver's side fender; at least that's where they are located in the 88-96 Grand Prix. Are you hearing two different notes?, you should be. It's not uncommon for one horn to stop working. If only one is working, the horn will not be as loud. RobertISaar
yeah, 2 horns, both more or less inside the driver side fender. one is mounted fairly high, the other fairly low or at least that's what it looks like in the diagrams. superdan333
Find a buick park ave or roadmaster and get the four note horns. I put them on my Regal, sounds like a train;)
ricklovin93
Just one weak note
redmetrix
Now it would be a matter determining if it's the high or low horn that is weak and replace it. When getting horns from a different car, make sure there's no rust rattling around inside of the horns. Also, GM used single wire and dual wire horns. Yours should be the dual wire ones that have the connectors with the water seal on them.

Voltage drop will make for a pathetic horn.
