AL
Possibly motor mounts but he will need a complete wiring harness and PCM from the donor car and possibly someone to tune the gearing in the trans... The 3.5s and 3.8s got different gearing... The 3.5 is actually more powerful than the 3.5 but the 3.8 has tons of aftermarket while the 3.5 does not
Cutlass350
FORGET about changing engines. Even if your State doesn't have smog checks, basically, THERE IS ZERO SUPPORT FOR CUSTOM TUNES FOR INTRIGUES - *ZERO*! So, at that point, an Intrigue without a stock engine is bigger pile of ***** that won't even run. You might still be able to get a 100% brand new '99 engine for $2000. Look for some of my old posts for more info. Below is a site with a ton of info. It's what I used as the basis for my swap. Note: You do not have to drop the subframe. I did not. Also, plan on removing the AC compressor and using an 1/4" board to protect the AC condenser. It is possible to leave the AC connected. But, you have to be very careful with the AC compressor getting pinned between the engine and condenser. http://99intrigue.shutterfly.com/ http://99intrigue.shutterfly.com/engineremoval http://99intrigue.shutterfly.com/enginereplacement http://99intrigue.shutterfly.com/diagrams http://99intrigue.shutterfly.com/diagrams/4 Good Luck! Cutlass350
Also, as an FYI, the difference between the '99 and '00+ engines is the AIR ports on the side of the engine. For a '99 with and 00+ engine, you can just leave the solenoids disconnected. Or, make a block off plate that mounts to the head.
