rich_e777 Posted March 27, 2012 Report Posted March 27, 2012 (edited) Well i keep my Cutlass parked most of the time and only start it up maybe once or twice a week, shes got leaks so the engine is going to be coming apart real soon. But today when i started it up and drove her around a little i had a buddy of mine cut it off while i was under the hood and i noticed an odd sound on cutoff. It sounds like something has come loose torwards the rear valve cover area like a washer or screw dropping into something. The only way i can descibe the sound is if you have black(heavy plastic?) valve covers and dropped a little piece of metal on it. It also sounds like it might bounce a little bit and it happens everytime the engine is cutoff regardless of temperature. I replaced those shitty black valve covers to the metal ones a long time ago and i dont have any real trouble with power lose except thru an air leak somewhere which im already aware of. So any ideas what i might need to look at first or if anyone else had this happen that`d save ALOT of time. Edited March 27, 2012 by rich_e777 Quote
