SmoothSteve3
Hey everybody- I just got done having a big fight with dad over the size of wheel/tire combination that will fit in my wheel wells without scraping or what not. My car is a base model 1990 Chevy Lumina 3.1 V-6. I was hoping to get 17 inch wheels, but what kind of tires will work with these? I have these huge all weather tires on my stock 14 inch rims right now.....and theres a lot of room in the top of the wheel well, but not a whole lot on either side of the wheel. So yeah, if anybody knows what a good wheel/tire combo is, please tell me. I dont really want low-profile tires......performance/touring tires are just fine though. Anyways, Thanks! Justin
How do you intend on fitting 17s without low profile tires? The larger the rim diameter you use, the lower the profile tire you need to match your gear ratios, fender size, etc.
