chadz34
Hey guys just helping a buddy work on his newly acquired 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, when we changed the air filter we realized there was oil laying in the MAF sensor....What could the cause of this be? Bad PCV valve? Oil too full? Was rather high on the dipstick. Thoughts?
AL
I would drain it so its not so high on the dipstick and change the PCV valve, so your on the right track
RobertISaar
i'm not 100% on where the PCV deposits the recycled fumes into the intake, but i'm fairly certain it's quite downstream of the MAF. that much reversal is crazy. Ok, thanks guys. We will round up a new PCV valve and change the oil. It has the classic oil leak, and too much oil was added. Also, the car will idle at 3-4,000rpm when cold, and will stall if throttle is pressed. I suggested it may be the LIM gaskets. When the car is warmed up, it runs great and drives awesome.
