Hey guys i was looking for seats to replace the original ones currently in my 1996 olds cutlass supreme coupe, anybody know of any aftermarket ones that are a direct fit? would seats from a later (2000's an up) monte carlo, grand prix coupe, be a direct fit?

answe to both is no. however, any first gen will swap in. if you can find a set, the police luminas have recaros in them. however, very rare find.

1st gen sedan will work as well, though the seatbacks will obviously not flip forward.

1.5s should work as well, IIRC.

i'll just have to take some measurments next time im in the junkyard need something to replace these damn seats with, the frames are starting to bend, old age i guess

dont take measurments, hell, your in the yard with tools...take the seats out and swap them there in the yard and see how the line up. Best research lab in the world :D Its how i do all my research of what will and will not work :)

that a good idea but our junkyard is pretty scarce on cutlass' shitloads of regals and montes though, which w-body do guys think have the most comfortable seats?

Cutlass leather aq9s

Chris Dinunzio has a set of Recaro Seats out in Pittsburgh that im trying to sell if your interested. Blue Cloth. They are from a Police Lumina.

Ill check on the ones I have in my sedan. I dont think so. They do turn pretty damn close. Ill snap some pictures of the one tilted in my sedan tomorrow.

I agree with the cutlass AQ9's. I stole a set out of a '90 or '91 international at the yard and swapped them into my '91 regal. Amazingly comfortable seats, I have a bad back and I could drive for hours in that car with 0 fatigue.

Okay heres ones i got this morning. The seat is all the way forward and tilted.
