imabadczech
I need some help, PLEASE. I just bought a 1 owner 97 cs sl with 93 k miles. I wanted to replace the hub assemblys in the front. I ordered the items and after I got the wheel off car, I realized the ones that were sent to me were incorrect. The wrong ones had a triangular back with holes for 3 bolts. My car currently has a 4 bolt assembly. So now I am confused. The 3 hole assembly part has the abs plug and the one I believe is the correct one for me (513044) does not show any plug in at all for the abs, which I was told was standard, So if I have abs, where the heck is the connection on the correct wheel hub? If anyone can please help, I sure do appreciate that! Craig in Marietta, GA
Mel87
Only thing I can guess is they sent you one for a 1997 Cutlass, and not a 1997 Cutlass Supreme, which are two completely different cars. 55trucker
There are two designs for the front hub assembly, 1st gen either ABS or non ABS (square 4 bolt mounting flange), the newer gen 2 design mounts with a three bolt triangular flange & the ABS connector is on the end of a short lead. If your vehicle is ABS equipped there is a reluctor ring on the outer end of the axle shaft that the ABS pickup aligns with to sense the wheel rotation. *need to speak to a mod with regards to the minor problem I have here with my browser constantly failing* Edited February 24, 2012 by 55trucker
