joecutlass
More or less, yes. That type in general. Not that specific brand.
91LuminaEuro
I looked into them for my Monte, when i goofed, and took a guys word on some craigslist wheels and their bolt pattern. They would ruin the offset of the wheels on the car. My monte would have looked silly with the wheels sticking out. I don't know on other body styles or even on first gen cars, but the only way i think they wouldn't make it look strange would be to have the wheel offset counter the spacer size. joecutlass
Well, reason being, i have x laces for winters and they sit fine in the wheel wells, but my gxp rims for the summer, sit deeper in the wheel wells.
White93z34
I use a set of 1inch spacers on the rear of my z34, They work real nice and have been on for a few years now. but buy QUALITY spacers, Do NOT cheap out. I purchased mine here: http://adaptitusa.com/ I run 5x115 to 5x115, 1 inch.
intern8tion9l
i have 1" on the front of mine, and 1.5" on the rear. only been on a short time, but so far so good
patgizz
i ebayed some for my crown vic to run newer mustang rims from seller wheeladapters. i also bought some from them to adapt the mustang wheels to my caddy. both were much heavier than any W body, and their adapters held up just fine in very spirited driving. going to order some this spring to run the same mustang wheels on my sonoma. LuminaPower92
Nunzi, that 1" you are running, that would bring out the rear even wif the front?
White93z34
I need them so my Budniks can clear the parking brake bracket on the (94+) rear caliper. Also helps with the looks as the rear wheels would be super sucked in otherwise.
1988PhantomFE3
I had a set of 1/2" spacers on the back of my S-10 lil pickup. Just for the fun of it one day, I decided to take a bet from my friend that my S-10 couldn't beat his S-10. The race officials saw the spacers through the wheel spokes and pulled my truck off the track, they wouldn't let me run on the drag strip with the spacers on. Just a note in-case you were headed in any performance direction. We were also asked if any of us had spacers on our vehicles when taking a MotorSports Course Class (SCCA). They also told us all, that we could not have spacers on any of our vehicles for that either. They actually sent a VW Bug home who had spacer/adaptor set-ups for a smaller 5 lug bolt pattern wheels. I do like how the spacers can give you extra clearance though, sometimes you really need that! Good Luck!
drew45u
like others have said, just buy quality spacers. I run 3 inch spacers on my 8 lug diesel with a 37inch tire and havent had problems.
gtp237
It's also important to torque them to the right specs or at least evenly.

gtp237
thats absolutely critical. Heh I mention it because wheel spacers are often used by kids with nasty incorrectly sized wheels. And such kids tend to like over tightening lug nuts. Or god forbid the impact sickos.

EMNCFI
And if it has not been mentioned, loctite on them too, I run 1.25 spidertrax ones on my jeep, they came with red loctite for the install.

skitchin
Well, spacers have a really nasty rep because of all the different ways you can do it wrong. I've actually heard of someone trying to use washers as spacers.... he was passed by one of his own wheels, if that gives you any idea. I don't know the real workings at all, or what specifically this places stress on(though I'm guessing hubs+studs) - but I've heard from most of the mechanics I've ever respected that wheel spacers are just about the worst thing you can do to a car. With that said, I think the spacers Andrew linked are the best bet for a worst case scenario. Never use slip on spacers, I guess the type he linked are called Hub Centric spacers. Found a good video explaining the differences http://www.driftworks.com/2011/05/wheels-spacers-explained/ Not saying it can't be done right, but when you say wheel spacers, people think the worst

joecutlass
Well, i have the 1" spacers on the gp. No issues yet, but it does rub the inner fenders on u turns. On the plus side, it brought my white gxp wheels out to the stock location of my xlaces.
