tgpguy21
so when i drive my car for a little while i notice that there is i clicking noise when i turn the wheel. so we checked it out, ended up replacing the out tie rods, and it was still happening. so we looked again and there is like a boot or a bushing that is in the middle of everthing i believe does anyone know what that is or what parts i would need to order to replace that??? Redfox340
That's the CV Joint. If the CV boot is blown or torn and dirt get in there, it'll wear down the joint. That's why your hearing the clicking when the wheels are turned. You either replace them, clean + replace the boot or deal with the minor clicking. - Erik
fast68
if its worn and you keep on running it it will eventually break the CV joint and one or more of the big bearing balls will fall out, have seen it happen several times, its not overly hard to replace CV shafts but then ive replaced them with cars on the lift but still you can do with floor jack and stand, have to separate lower balljoint and move the hub and strut assembly out of the way and pop the shaft out of the transaxle after removign the shaft nut at the rotor bearing after youve done it once its not bad at all really

scorpion_x9
Everyone has a different defintion of a sound but here's a possibilty. Check your lower balljoints to see if there's play in them. Someone I knew had a lower balljoint pop out of socket after coming around a corner (in the middle of winter!) and the wheel flipped sideways and ripped the driveaxle out of the transmission. Not fun.
C-REX
Any one tell him to check his front to see if any hing was ribbing up against the engine. Did you replace your shocks in 2 years? May go and get some new ones. Mine did the same thing and i replaced the shocks.
