emb1230
When you guys do an L67 swap, what do you usually go for? Series 1, 2 or whatever you can find? Also, this may also be a dumb question, but has anyone ever put an intercooler on one? Edited February 12, 2012 by emb1230
AL
The L67 is the Series 2 3800SC, I dont think anyone has gone for a Series 1 3800 swap, the L32 is the Series III SC swap

Also, this may also be a dumb question, but has anyone ever put an intercooler on one? Series 2 is by far the most popular, easiest, and has a large aftermarket. Yes there are several intercoolers available.
95 vert
Got a buddy of mine that I did a L67 swap on a 96 Cutty coupe for him a while back. I'll be putting a ZZP short stack intercooler, 1.9 rockers, and a 3.25 pulley on it here in the next couple of weeks. I'll let you know how it goes. BXX
Just use a 98-03 L67. I did a swap for xtremerevolution using a L67 from a 00 Regal GS, and the 4T65e came from a 03 Century and I upgraded the diff to HD from a 99 GTP and ended up with 3.29 (IIRC) final drive. If your swapping into a Gen 1 W-body, you want most of the parts and wiring harness from a 98-99 Lumina/MC with the L36. FYI, PCM must follow the trans year for ease of sanity. IIRC they made changes in 02 or 03, so a early PCM wont work, throws it into limp mode. Use a L67 PCM, don't mess around with tuning the L36 unit. Just makes life easier
pshojo
I am in process of doing L26 swap. Similar to what 95 Vert has done. This is going in my daily driver, basically doing economy swap. So i don't have to mess with the trans mission.
