base93lumina
Can someone tell me if the springs in a Euro would drop the ride height of my base Lumina? Theres a Euro in the yard thats about to get crushed soon and was wondering if the springs from it would be any kind of upgrade for my car or not. Its a 92 Euro, not sure it matters mines a 93... Would i benefit from this swap?
Andrew
not thinking the ride height is different, but the euro should have slightly stiffer springs.
base93lumina
hmmm, cause alot of the Euros i see all seem to sit lower than my car. Or is because they come with 215/60-16s and mine has 195/75-14s?
92EuroScott
My Euro has 15's. But Independentfool is right, they are just stiffer. The ones you have seen could just have worn out suspension causing them to sag and look lower.
base93lumina
Check this out. I work at napa and the part numbers for the base springs and the euro springs is the same. hmm, less their system is wrong. Its the same part number whether its a 3.1 or 3.
jman093
Check this out. Its the same part number whether its a 3.1 or 3.4 That's because aftermarket parts are all generic one-size-fits-all. There were about a dozen different springs available that GM would have installed. Even 2 Euros of the same year might have slightly different springs. The difference is all in the spring rate. Spring heights are all the same.
tornado_735
If you really want to change your ride height, just cut a coil off of your springs...
Z34guy
get 2 front Monte Carlo/Lumina lowering springs and figure out a way to lower the back to match

emb1230
I think the Lumi Euro was basically the same thing as 88-91 Regal GS's, sporty looking and a firmer ride, but not any faster than a Custom or Limited, lol.
