RareGMFan
Ok, I was looking at the throttle body cleaner I normally use (the kind where you leave the engine running), and it specifically says to NOT use on turbos and diesels. :? But how come? If it's sprayed through the throttle body, it's going to be burned off long before it hits the turbo. And if it's not a good idea to use this, then what do you use for this purpose? Robby1870
Just take the TB off and clean it by hand. Do the same to the plenum and lower intake. Its a pretty easy job, IMO
RareGMFan
Ahhhhh, if only I had that kind of time........
Robby1870
Yeah, it does take some time. I guess why they say dont use it with turbos, is because all the gunk it cleans out, is shout out your exhaust, and that will go into your turbo and just get it really dirty
twalt13
Why not just get some of the GM Top End Cleaner, I use it on all my cars, clean them twice yearly.
