thikstik Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 I had a low tank and while idleing heard my fp make a bit of a howling noise. It is OE with 238k miles. I put gas in and no more sound , but have noticed full throttle is a bit weak. I tested pressure at idle..it is around 35 line off. I need to test drive at wot and get a reading, what do yall think it should be? Thanks ps- its a 1994 regal 3.8 Quote
AL Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 You dont test pressure at WOT FUEL PRESSURE:

Ignition ON Engine OFF 40.5 to 47.0 psi

Quote
thikstik Posted February 5, 2012 Author Report Posted February 5, 2012 You dont test pressure at WOT FUEL PRESSURE:

Ignition ON Engine OFF 40.5 to 47.0 psi

I wanted to to see if it sags under full demand...but, Im shy of the spec range you give , so ill go by that and r/r the pump. The tester i have does have a bleed line and when its opened the pressure drops alot, but there's nothing to compare it to. thanks for the spec. Quote
