Drummer Posted January 21, 2012 Report Posted January 21, 2012 I'm not sure why, mabye because it's cold but I have a coolant leak coming from the quick disconnect pipe next to the thermostat housing. I'm guessing there's a o-ring inside. Is the o-ring "special" or can i get one from a o-ring kit? Also where could I get a replacement quick disconnect? Quote
AL Posted January 21, 2012 Report Posted January 21, 2012 I think you can replace the whole inlet pipe if its the one I am thinking about Quote

First Guess: corroded quick-connect. For very little money, you could replace the entire unit. The replacements are every bit as bad as the originals in terms of cheap construction, but at least it's a fresh start. NAPA BK 7304943 The plastic clip is available separately, NAPA BK 7304947 Quote
Drummer Posted January 22, 2012 Author Report Posted January 22, 2012 thanks for the info. I just ended up replacing the entire unit with a dorman unit and it was only 6 bucks so we'll see how long this lasts. Quote
tornado_735 Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 I had to replace mine in the parking lot of an Advance Auto Parts (in the middle of the ghetto) on Thanksgiving day. I likely bought the same one you bought, and it's not leaked a drop since then. Quote
