89 international Posted January 14, 2012 Report Posted January 14, 2012 Got a new fender for my 89 international. Ready to swap it out, but whats the deal with the middle attachment point on the back by the door? Kinda like a bolt, but with no hex/torx/etc. on it to loosen it up. Would like to get this put on asap. Thanks. Quote
Crazy K Posted January 14, 2012 Report Posted January 14, 2012 remove the fender liner first before you touch anything else...... the answer will be self explanatory. Quote
89 international Posted January 17, 2012 Author Report Posted January 17, 2012 So the extension is suppoes to come off with the fender? Quote
intern8tion9l Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 what do you mean by extension? Quote
89 international Posted January 21, 2012 Author Report Posted January 21, 2012 what do you mean by extension? An extension off the inner fender, that the fender bolts to. Open the door and look halfway down. You'll se what I mean. Quote
94 olds vert Posted January 21, 2012 Report Posted January 21, 2012 Much better. But you should of gave it a shot of red spray paint at the very least. Quote
89 international Posted January 21, 2012 Author Report Posted January 21, 2012 Got the fender on. Damn, they use a lot of bolts/screws. Popped the dents out and straightened the front edge of the door. Still pretty wavy though. Afraid to touch the quarter, for fear of breaking out the rear side window. Quote
brake Posted January 21, 2012 Report Posted January 21, 2012 Is there a write up on fender removal anywhere? Mine is still red but I may have found a white donor car. Quote
