Sold the car to my dad, he says the glasspacks are TOO loud. He wants to quiet the car down, but still have some exhaust sound.

What mufflers would you guys do?

I suggested Flowmaster 40's different tips......Any suggestions?

You youngsters have to understand that......as one ages their eyes may get worse, but, ones hearing improves dramatically.

So, what noise level you consider to be acceptable, we find very difficult to live with. :D

I assume that, like me, he wants to be able to hear himself think while driving?...

Have you considered the stock aftermarket mufflers?

just get a set of oe replacement mufflers welded up and call it a day? probably the cheapest option.

So far....yup. It's looking like stock replacement.

dynomax super turbos

search 91 gtp on youtube.

Galens blue 91 is on there.

Was just going to suggest that....but matt beat me to it. lol. It's a nice, mellow sound. Better than stock, but not obnoxious. That car being a 96 it would be a tad quieter because of the factory resonator before the mufflers.

Well turns out, Walker makes the stock exhaust for the car, and there are 2 types of exhaust there is ''Quiet Flow'' and ''SoundFX''. My dad opted for the SoundFX since he wanted a little more acoustics from the car. Will appear stock.

^ That's quite true, the Quiet-Flows are Walkers mainstream direct fit full lifetime warranty items & the Soundfx items are the *installers* line, I believe they still have a one year warranty on them.

It's still been put on the back burner. In fact, so long so, that I believe it will keep the glasspacks. So that makes me happy.
