I don't know why but I like the look of slow blinkers, mine blinks fast, is there a way to reduce the flash rate?

I dont think your Cutlass has an electronic flasher, and unless it does, just go to the junkyard and pull a ton of flashers out of cars and pop them in until you get one you like.

This reminds me of the scene in "Cars" when Filmore and Sarge are watching the blinking yellow traffic light and Filmore says "I'm telling you. Every third blink is slower!". Sarge replies with "The 60's weren't good to you, were they?"

Like Spencer said, try a bunch of different flashers. I also don't like fast blinkers either.

Im not sure if Fords use the same flasher, but I noticed a majority of older Fords have a slow blink, couldn't hurt to check.

Could make a 555 timer with a variable resistor, then splice it in as your flasher. Then just adjust your resistor until you get your desired effect.

I can't stand slow turn signals...but for the record, most early W's (especially Luminas) seem to have flashers that get old and blink slowly. I replaced mine with a hazard light flasher (can't remember the numbers).
