anoldfriend
I am having issues trying to get my car started. IT will turn over but it won't start. After a while of trying to start it I will smell a little gas, so that tells me it's getting fuel. And here in a little bit I am going out to see if it is getting spark in the plugs, wires and coil packs, to make sure it's not that. Other than this I would have no other idea as to why it would continue not to start. Any other ideas anyone? Thanks to all who might have some helpful suggestions. I hope I haven't lost compression(a test for this would only be a last resort if all other efforts to get her started and running won't work). anoldfriend
I am getting spark, but instead of a blue spark, it's mostly pink. Is this a situation where the spark wouldn't be hot enough to cause the cylinders to fire? I checked both on the spark plug end and I also took one boot off of one of the coil packs and both produced the same pink color.
AL
Did you check for spark on all 6 cylinders?
