Lovemealumina
so..been a while since i last posted on here, and I've been thinking a lot. i got my Lumina when i turned 17, parents got it for $600 plus a $800+ tranny fix by my uncle. Like all kids I thought this would be just a temporary car but i cant help but love it. So, I've decided that with some family involved I'm eventually going to restore it, even if it goes over what it's worth. Who knows, maybe i'll even turn it to a Euroz. This is so wrong but feels oh so right ;]
Oilpatch197
You absolutely positively stop ANY rust problem, NOW. Rust is your enemy, once the cancer is removed you can invest in it, sounds like a cool project!
Euro
Good to hear you're going to keep it! What kind of shape is it in now?
Lovemealumina
well it's in alright shape, paint has a few bubbles here and there but otherwise amazing shape. The exhaust system is looking kinda horrid though =\ and theres more rust than we originally thought but nothing detrimental to how it performs, any rust like that we're fixing soon. theres a small oil leak and we've been trying to track that down for a looong while now unfortunately but have an idea where it is. pics are on my profile. Euro
Oh nice, it's a Euro 3.4! That looks like it's in pretty good shape already, but definitely tackle those rust bubbles
Hairdo12
... even if it goes over what it's worth. ] I used to joke with my wife about my old Lumina that each time I filled the gas tank up past half I just doubled the value of the car
chadz34
Save the car, oil the hell out of it after you POR-15 the entire vehicle.
