Robby1870
I Hope I can convey what I want to know here. I like having a clutch pedal so that at the bottom of its travel (very close to the floor board), the clutch is already disengaged. Like when I go to take off from a stop, and I have the clutch all the way down, all I have to do is barely let off and it starts grabbing. So, my question is, can the the 282 be adjusted to do this? I know on my dads truck it was easy to do, but its an 85 model, and newer manuals dont have this provision (I think). I hope that makes sense, but Im just wondering if it can be done, cuz I hate clutchs that grab at the very top of the travel, so your leg is way in the air when you take off. tomz34
I know that the clutch in my lumina Z-34 (284getrag) is non-adjustable dont know about 282 transaxle assume it would be same.
Guest Anonymous
It's not adjustable. My '90 5-speed starts grabbing about 1 1/2" from the floor.
