Oil Change

I have owned my car since July (had the oil changed right after I bought it) and have only put 1,950 miles on it. It has 155,916 miles on it right now, it is due for LOF at 157,336 miles. As you can see I don't put that many miles on it. How often should I get it changed? I obviously can't go by the mileage, because it will be February before I get to 3,000. I'm using conventional oil, not synthetic.

I put 6,000 miles on the oil in my Lumina 3.4. This is about twice a year on one car, and about two years on the other.

Me personally, I'd change it at least once per year.

At LEAST once a year, I prefer no longer than 6 months between regardless of mileage. Oil changes are $25 bucks... why skimp?

I was always taught every 3 months or 3,000 miles.

For me, 5K miles or 4 months, which ever comes first.
