He thought he blew head gaskets when he really only blew the freeze plugs, and iirc the radiator too. Might want to take care of that... Its spelled coolant btw. I thought i cracked the block, But it did bust front And back freeze plug out. I unded up useing the motor in the 1999. (after going threw it a little). Still never felt safe about it after that. Addicted to eaton Posted November 17, 2011 Report Share Posted November 17, 2011 pink is normally for rv's/ boats. and uh, Auto coolants have special lubricants added to keep seals soft and the water pump lubed. They also have tons of anti-foaming, anti-corrosive, and anti-electrolysis additives. Put the RV stuff in your vehicle and the electrolysis damage also can destroy your radiator and heater core. Just because it hasn't failed before, doesn't mean its a good idea. Its a matter of preventative maintenance.
