Demented Monte Posted November 15, 2011 Report Posted November 15, 2011 Does anyone know what the best sounding mufflers for a 3800S2 are? Current setup is just plain old straight pipe from the cat back..but intent to kick it up to 2.5" pipe and a cat only down pipe, Powerlog for the front header...just need to know what mufflers would be best to finish it out with?? Looking for a nice sound louder than stock but not too ricey lol. Quote
jeremy Posted November 15, 2011 Report Posted November 15, 2011 Stock > any aftermarket 3800 exhaust Quote
MonteCarloDude Posted November 15, 2011 Report Posted November 15, 2011 Stock > any aftermarket 3800 exhaust ^^ What he said! I have yet to hear an aftermarket exhaust that sounds better on a 3800 then stock. Quote
virtuetovice Posted November 15, 2011 Report Posted November 15, 2011 SERIOUSLY! Stock or nothing. I heard a 3800 with Cherry Bombs today and it sounded like a chainsaw stuck in a log. Quote
Demented Monte Posted November 15, 2011 Author Report Posted November 15, 2011 Damn lol well unfortunately stock isn't 2.5 and i don't like reducers lol. So how bout a decent sounding exhaust option? Quote
jeremy Posted November 15, 2011 Report Posted November 15, 2011 So how bout a decent sounding exhaust option? we already told you that they all sound like shit.....sorry it's not the answer you are looking for ....and fwiw: if you are SC, you should really go with a 3" DP....it will bolt right up to you stock cat back, which BTW is plenty big enough for most bolt on l67 builds....
