88red4cyl
This started the day before my belt tensioner broke (coincidence I'm sure), and has continued ever since.. It's most audible on cold starts, but is always faintly audible, even when the car warms up.. I can best describe it as a scraping/rubbing sound while the engine is running.. It does speed up slightly when the engine does, but once the engine breaks 2000ish RPMs it is no longer able to be heard.. You can't really hear it under the hood either, just in the cabin. I took a short video to try and capture the sound.. Ignore the high pitch whine, thats just the power steering pump from when it got really cold a couple years ago.. It's the lower pitched sound that starts shortly after I start the car.. Audio didn't turn out the best, but you can still hear it fairly well...
