Wont switch from floor to vent to def. also drivers side will not cycle from hot to cold correctly. If i kick the heat box it will switch from floor to vent. RZB1992 Posted November 5, 2011 Report Share Posted November 5, 2011 It sounds like the little black box attached to the "heat box" may have gone bad. It has gears in it that spin to open and close the door in the heat box. If you pull the lower drivers side dash pieces out and look at the heat box, you'll see a small black box about the size of your palm with 3-4 screws attached. It's a little difficult to get to, and they usually don't fail... Bottom line, before looking for this, check for loose or disconnected vacuum lines.
