gnxsyc
I have a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP with a 3.8L supercharged. Got an oil leak that even the guys at the local dealer can't cure. Has anyone had a problem with the oil filter housing leaking where it mounts to the front cover? Already replaced the gasket and correctly tourqed the bolts. I guess even the pros need a little help every now and then, but I'm not afraid to ask. Thx in advance.

You sure that's where the leak is coming from? Have you checked the valve cover gaskets?
gnxsyc
All top end gaskets are good. Looks like seepage from the gasket surfaces of the timing cover and oil filter housing. Since they are both aluminum, magnaflux isn't going to work. I beleive one or the other has a hairline crack. Has anyone had a similar problem?
