Laveen Z34
Members, I had finally gotten my Z34 running for a while now after changing LIMG, radiator, and a bunch of things. Well today, from a cold start, engine died while I was driving - idling was kinda funky (hesitating to go or stay on). I started it and gave it a littlle gas and it started right up but had to put my foot on the gas for awhile. Drove it around and it was OK. Back in the garage, put in on Park and stepped on the gas but when it reaches 3000 RPM it started that coughing like effects as if it was hesitating to go past 3000 RPM. No engine light on or whatsoever - any suggestions?
jman093
3000 RPM in park? Probably the rev limiter.
AWeb80
yeah, my GP does this at 4k. Just protects from over-rev
Laveen Z34
3000 RPM in park? Probably the rev limiter. Thanks. I guess that's a good thing? What do you think of the car dying after a cold start 2 blocks down the road? Once it's warm though, no dying issue.
