However when I push it, it does not automatically put the window down, I have to hold the button. Is there a setting or something I'm not doing right. Not a big deal, I was just wondering. Mel87 Posted October 23, 2011 Report Share Posted October 23, 2011 As far as I know, on an auto down button, there are 2 switches. You can feel them click, the first one when lightly pressing the button, and when you press it all the way down you should hear/feel another click. Possibly the auto down switch has gone bad? I figured there was 2 switches! How does one remove the window switch panel? Just pry it up? I'll try spraying the switch and see if that fixes it. It did work ONE time right after I bought the car.
