air pocket behind the t-stat, air pocket also interfering with coolant going to the heater core. You need to bleed coolant system, and monitor for other issues, such as coolant leakage though the intake and such.....

Well, honestly... my car does the same thing. Never really payed mind to it. When mine warms up it warms up all the way to the line right under the hot mark then it would rapidly cool down to this point...

Same thing happens with me, the heat isn't hot until the thermostat engages. My 95 CS never did this.

got it bleed and it did help but today it actually over heated and the over flow was overflowing every where I think the coolent needs bleed more but i dont know seems like there is a blockage. it is not leak that i can see of but then again i cant tell the over flow sprained coolent everywhere.

3100's can be tough to bleed. Glad you got her fixed.

so I'm going to flush the radiator today:thumbsup:, and I realized that it started after i put a gallon of antifreeze in it.

well i flushed the system and it still has problems putting coolant in it, it takes for ever for it to go down and when you go to start it to suck it down it pushes it out.

I am really needing some help on this it is starting to frustrate me.

What I've been doing with my wifes pos olds until waiting until the engine gets hot/almost.overheating- pull over and open the bleeders. Soon as I open the t-stat one, the temp drops right down to the half way mark. I also bleed the heater core one as well.

But the wifes car needs a radiator and the intake gaskets are weeping, check your car for other issues
