intern8tion9l
i have intrax front springs and kyb gr2 struts. i'm having a serious problem with the tires rubbing the top of the fender going around turns or even hitting bumps in the road. anyone else have this problem or who has dealt with it before? jman093
I had zero rubbing problems in the front when the car was slammed on its lowering springs (running cut FE3's now), but I'm running 225/50R16 tires which are a bit shorter than the stock 225/60R16 size, although the performance tire I have is almost an inch wider than most 225's. MiriV
roll the fenders. heat gun + rubber mallet. get the fender hot to the touch and hammer away on the inner lip. there are youtube videos of that. intrax are pretty damn low, im not suprised u rub. Garrett Powered
I had intrax on the black tgp and took them right back off. I put on some 94 MC springs I got from rock auto and it dropped it maybe an inch. I might cut off a coil. I am thinking the intrax springs would work well on the 88 without the body kit and fender flares the tgp has. smaller tires are always an option. GOT2B GM
I'm running Intrax's on my TGP with 245-45-16s no issues

GhrarhG
I'm running Intrax up front on my 88, no rubbing issues here with 245/50/16s on X-laces. What wheels and tires are you running?
xtremerevolution
I'm with the guy above. What *exact* tires are you running? All 245x50x16 tires are not made equal. The 245 is only the section width. With regard to drop, I'd say do what everyone else said and roll the fenders. Silly fenders though, I have a <holy shit that's low> drop on my Regal and I don't rub anything, and by low I mean I have maybe 2" of travel left. They are pretty stiff springs though. intern8tion9l
tires are yokohama 245/50/16 on factory laces. i did a little hammering and trimming (tires already wore through the flares along the top) today. seems to have helped a lot, but still hitting a little bit on the driver's side

My car is so low that I can *barely* slide my low profile jack under the subframe. I kinda have to wedge it in there.
AWeb80
I don't have Intrax, but ST's. With my 245/50's I had to use a rubber hammer to tap the inner metal lip on the fender up and out of the way. Now I run 1/8" spacers w/ NO problems. Maybe some of these cars are made a bit different.....but I'm sure GM's tolerances are/were spot on...LOL

Ghargh has an 89 without the fender flares. tgp only, most likely need low profile 45 series because it has steaks for a stock size tire, AND body kit. so more like a TGP specific thing. 45 series are low profile tires but also the tread is thinner if you measure it in real life even though they say 245, believe it or not. they are alot smaller and thus, less traction. I wondered if I could get custom spacers to lift it slightly because I wanted thicker intrax springs but don't see how that would be possible. yeah my stance could be better.... but honestly its probably staying like it is.
