Highmilagecutlass Posted October 17, 2011 Report Share Posted October 17, 2011 I'm upgrading my shocks today..front and rear I was told by a mechanic that I should remove the existing oil in the front outer asymblies and I dont know how much to put back in..he says like 1.5 ounces and what type of oil should I use ? The rear he says I need a bolt to compress the helper spring..but I dont know how long or what size..my google seach gave me nothing.. White93z34 Posted October 17, 2011 Report Share Posted October 17, 2011 the fronts, I've done anything from drain it all out, which is a pain in the ass, to put the new strut in and clean up the mess it makes.
