Ccole Posted October 10, 2011 Report Posted October 10, 2011 I have a 1995 Cutlass Converitble, Red with White top and white interior, it has 69k miles on it and all the orginal paint (one owner). I purchased the car from a 92 year old lady who drove it as her second car on nice days. It has always been garage kept. Everything works on the car and needs no repairs. It has a few dings, but over all the car is in great shape. Unfortunately I need to sell this car, and was trying to find some information on the value of car. I could post some pictures of it, if that would help. Thanks in advanace for the help. Chris Quote
MemphisMan Posted October 10, 2011 Report Posted October 10, 2011 Yes, it would help to post pictures. Where has the car spent it's life? Is there rust on the underside? What's the condition of the interior...particularly the drivers seat? Quote
94 olds vert Posted October 10, 2011 Report Posted October 10, 2011 ^ All good questions! What's it like mechanically? Trans shifts good/bad. Engine runs good/bad. A/C work? Quote
Ccole Posted October 10, 2011 Author Report Posted October 10, 2011 Here are a few pic's, Runs Good, no problems everything works, no rust what so ever (underneath). Kansas City Car Quote
White92Cutlass Posted October 10, 2011 Report Posted October 10, 2011 If it were mine, I'd ask $3,500-$4,500. Quote
95cutlass Posted October 11, 2011 Report Posted October 11, 2011 Thats a really nice looking cutlass, engine bay is alittle dirty though. Quote
Addicted to eaton Posted October 11, 2011 Report Posted October 11, 2011 someone ban me so i can't Buy it! Quote
virtuetovice Posted October 11, 2011 Report Posted October 11, 2011 I love low-mileage-little-old-lady-car threads. They're always beautiful and well kept. Seriously...nice grab on this vert. LOVE the interior! What kinda coin did you drop for this beauty? I'm sure you're asking this question to see what kind of deal you got on the car...I have a feeling it was epic If it were mine, I'd ask $3,500-$4,500. What's the VIN number?? The gray area would be what options it has. Quote
Ccole Posted October 11, 2011 Author Report Posted October 11, 2011 I have had the car for 3 years and have enjoyed it for all of about 1500 miles. I just have no room to store it. And have not drove it as much as my other cars. I will ask $4500 for it and see where it takes me. Thanks for you help. Quote
Steve Posted October 11, 2011 Report Posted October 11, 2011 Very nice. $4500 would be a good price. Quote
94 olds vert Posted October 11, 2011 Report Posted October 11, 2011 Spend some time cleaning up the engine bay. Then put a price of 4,500 and see what happens from there. Quote
willsboattail Posted October 12, 2011 Report Posted October 12, 2011 Searching the internet (autotrader.com and cars.com) gets you prices from $3500 up to nearly $9000, some with even more miles, So your guess is as good as any.:think: I have a 93 vert with 79,600 miles and am asking $5500 firm. Quote
GOT2B GM Posted October 12, 2011 Report Posted October 12, 2011 Up here I'd ask $8K and come down to $7000 - $7500 Down there start at $5500 - $6000, come down to $5000 Quote
Ccole Posted November 20, 2011 Author Report Posted November 20, 2011 Did not have any luck locally, so I listed it with Mecum in Kansas City. Check it out http://www.mecum.com/auctions/lot_detail.cfm?LOT_ID=KC1211-118430&entryRow=1&lottype= Quote
Psych0matt Posted November 20, 2011 Report Posted November 20, 2011 I'd say to the right person you could pull 6-8k. That might be high, but I have seen some in good shape going for about that Quote
xtremerevolution Posted November 20, 2011 Report Posted November 20, 2011 I'd say to the right person you could pull 6-8k. Psych0matt Posted November 20, 2011 Report Posted November 20, 2011 Yeah, but no one likes HHRs Quote
urbex Posted November 20, 2011 Report Posted November 20, 2011 Yeah, but no one likes HHRs Yeah but not many people want an almost 20 year old car for the price of an almost new one either. Quote
bowtieguy Posted November 20, 2011 Report Posted November 20, 2011 I'd say to the right person you could pull 6-8k. That might be high, but I have seen some in good shape going for about that It is going to be sold at a highly advertised auction with plenty of bidders so it should bring that. Quote
GOT2B GM Posted November 22, 2011 Report Posted November 22, 2011 Considering its a relatively low mile 95, white interior, 3.4L, very desirable colour combo vert, I see no issues with you pulling down at least $6k. Quote
jeremy Posted December 4, 2011 Report Posted December 4, 2011 (edited) Did not have any luck locally, so I listed it with Mecum in Kansas City. Check it out http://www.mecum.com/auctions/lot_detail.cfm?LOT_ID=KC1211-118430&entryRow=1&lottype= how much did it sell for? I would guess $4-5k at that auction... bg35765 Posted December 5, 2011 Report Posted December 5, 2011 Good guess! I looked at the results on the Mecum website and it says it sold for $4,500. Quote
