monty98
ok here is my problem, i have a 03 gtp with about 180k miles on it. i had a hesatation/miss issue with it. started with the most common thing and that was plugs. that took care of the problem for a few months. now guess whats back, yep the same issuse except it also brought the shaking feeling that a tire with a broken belt has, but only on a take off from 30mph to 60mph. so any ideas from any one. im at a loss the only thing that i dont know when was replaced is the coil pack. i did the plugs, wires where done right before i bought the car. could it be a pluged fuel filter, dirty MAF or something eles with the in take? anybody have any ideas? anything would help, thank you
Andrew
did you remove those metal heat shields from around the plug wire ends? those sometimes cause issues.
GEN1Z34
Try cleaning the MAF, I would use CRC MAF cleaner only on it.. Then see if there's a change.. Could also be an 02 sensor issue.. Over time they wear, I believe the replacement interval is 80k.. Fuel pump issue possible, or fuel system issue in general as well..
GEN1Z34
Service engine light on? Could have it scanned for free @ most auto parts stores.. Or if you have a scanner..
urbex
Check throttle position sensor, MAP sensor, ICM, plugged cat? Unfortunately there's about a billion things that could cause this issue. Believe me, I'm trying to solve the same thing on my car... nitehawkjcb
Make sure the wires are in the correct order A dirty or bad MAF could produce those symptoms, as could a clogged IAC or PCV. Check the fuel pressure, filter could be clogged Make sure you don't have any vacuum leaks Cat could be clogged The possibilities are endless
