BXX
Alrighty, got a question that hopefully someone knows so I don't have to mess around guessing and find out the hard way. I haz a 284 setup, minus axles cause Pullapart charged $40 for used axles, I can get them new for $50. I did get the 284's stub shaft so no worries on that. Now, i'm getting a 94 Lumina with a 3.1/4t60 in it. AFAIK the 284 just uses two driver side 4T60E axles. Are the 4T60/4T440 axles the same as the 4T60E? If I can get away with only buying one axle, that would be great. Can anyone lend some insight? And i'm not worried aboot ABS, it won't last long on the Lumina. GOT2B GM
Didn't all 3.1 cars get the 4T60-E 1993+
WrathOfSocrus
Rock auto shows the interchange for the ABS front left axle for a Lumina at 90-99, so they are the same. The Lumina and J body still had the old 3.1 while other cars had the 3100 in 94. The minivan had the 3.1 TBI version of the 60 degree motor.
