emb1230 Posted August 31, 2011 Report Posted August 31, 2011 (edited) Could you even get one with manual trans or was it only available if it was a Z34? Edited August 31, 2011 by emb1230 Quote
slick Posted September 1, 2011 Report Posted September 1, 2011 You could get the CS sedans with the 3.4/5speed. VERY uncommon. I think you could also get the GP sedans with the same combo. Anyone verify? Quote
emb1230 Posted September 1, 2011 Author Report Posted September 1, 2011 z34 only in luminas right, I know 2 door ones (Lumina/Monte Carlo) it was called Z34, But in a 4 door body it was called a Euro 3.4/LS. Quote
slick Posted September 1, 2011 Report Posted September 1, 2011 Yes, he realizes this. His post said that the luminas were only available in the 3.4/5 speed combo as the z34. They were not available with the 3.4/5speed in the non-z34 packages. Quote
mra32 Posted September 1, 2011 Report Posted September 1, 2011 I think you could also get the GP sedans with the same combo. Anyone verify? Interesting...I thought the only sedans with 3.4/284 combo were the Cutlass Supremes Quote
White93z34 Posted September 1, 2011 Report Posted September 1, 2011 Yes. I used to own a Euro 3.4, I have owned 2 z34s. The Euro 3.4 was 92-94, only avaliable in red, white, or black and could ONLY get a gray interior and ONLY automatic. yeah basically you could get 3.4/MTX in GP and Cutlass sedans, never a Lumina Sedan. Those examples are VERY rare however. Quote
emb1230 Posted September 1, 2011 Author Report Posted September 1, 2011 Oh, ok. I used to have Taurus SHO and as I'm sure you know, only came with 3.0/manual the first 4 years of production, then the next 3 you could get manual with a 3.0 OR an automatic which got a 3.2, then the last 4 years they got a new 3.4 V8 engine and only came with automatic. White93z34 Posted September 1, 2011 Report Posted September 1, 2011 yeah the euro 3.4 was Chevy's halfass answer to the SHO Quote
emb1230 Posted September 1, 2011 Author Report Posted September 1, 2011 (edited) yeah the euro 3.4 was Chevy's halfass answer to the SHO I thought the Z34 was. IMO, I think that the gen 1.5's Lumina LS's with a 3.4 option were the ultimate sleeper, way more than a SHO!! Edited September 1, 2011 by emb1230 Quote
LuminaPower92 Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 I thought the Z34 was. IMO, I think that the gen 1.5's Lumina LS's with a 3.4 option were the ultimate sleeper, way more than a SHO!! Z34 was the answer to the Thunderbird. The Euro 3.4 was to pit against the SHO, however no 5 speed. Id swap a 5 speed in a euro z and be heck of alot moar baller then the taurus. Better looking, better engine, better overall car. Quote
