Leo090
HI, my 97 lumina 3.1L 78K is emitting random odors all the time while driving on the highway, and on streets. I'm wondering, is something wrong? or is it just car farts. These do not all happen at the same time, they each happen at different time intervals of me driving. I will list them in the order of which i notice from when i leave my house to when I get to work . Sometimes I can go to work without any single odor. Weird. Sometimes i will smell burning oil smell. Sometimes I will smell a hint of sulfur. Sometimes I will smell fumes of gasoline. Sometimes I will smell a sweet smell like coolant. Sometimes I will smell burning plastic. Sometimes I will smell burning rubber. My guess, bad intake manifold gaskets. Maybe a bad heater core too. Maybe bad senors making my fuel too rich or lean. ANY IDEAS? "Probably bad motor, replace motor if you have a 3100 like me, get a 3800 series 2 with Supercharger." Sometimes I will smell a hint of sulfur. "Bad Catylitic Converter (spelling)" Sometimes I will smell fumes of gasoline. "bad o-rings possibly around your injectors" Sometimes I will smell burning plastic. "Stop smoking drugs" Sometimes I will smell burning rubber. "Stop doing burnouts in granny."
