Hi, I bought a 88 oldsmobile cutlass supreme sl and the handbrake light is always on. Anyone had this problem?

Welcome aboard! :D The brake light on the dash?

That could be two things: first, double check that your emergency brake is full released / de-pressed.

There's a sensor to denote if you have your brake on so that you don't drive with it on.

Second, is that your brake fluid level in the Master Cylinder resivor is low.

There, too, is a sensor that if the level dips below the minimal amount, that light will turn on at your instrument panel.

Spot check those components, if you turn up will nothing, get back to us.
