90V6RedHotLuminaEuro
Good Day! I hope you're enjoying a pleasant one. On my 90 Lumina Euro 3.1/V6, what is that round softball sized globe thing with a vacuum hose attached to it... insided the front/underneath my drivers side fender? The vacuum line goes up to a 3 way vacuum hose gadget, check valve?
urbex
For some reason I thought it has to do with the cruise control, but I may be wrong...

jman093
It's a vacuum tank to help the HVAC controls out.

Psych0matt
stolen from the exact same thread posted on V6Z24: Â It's a vacuum ball. Stores vacuum so at WOT you won't loose vacuum to your hvac and stuff
90V6RedHotLuminaEuro
Thanks... I disconnected one at the salvage yard yesterday, still not knowing what it was... it went "hissssss"... the one on my Lumina had a broken hose... I reconnected it today... I hope the car runs a little better, maybe better fuel economy without that vacuum leak.
Night Fury
Wow.... a car in a salvage yard that still held vacuum? That's gotta be rare.

Addicted2bass
The older cars that have the metal can mounted under the hood on top of the wheel well are the best. looks like they just took a empty coffee can and put a vac line into it.
